Autism Inquiry & Assessment Preparation Session

If you’re wondering whether to pursue an Autism diagnosis for your child,
or if you don’t know how to begin the process or get ready for testing,
this session is for you.
Does my kid need a diagnosis?
Without an Autism designation, kids’ struggles can be overlooked and misunderstood - especially those who are “hard-to-spot.”
A diagnosis may offer personal funding, school funding, Individualized Education Plan meetings, accommodations now and as they grow, and a sense of validation and community.
An Autism Inquiry and Assessment Preparation Session includes:
An in-depth intake form that outlines autism diagnostic criteria with prompts to recall relevant examples
A 60-minute parent/caregiver session to elaborate on your child’s unique needs, interests, and behaviour
Recommendations for whether/how to move forward with an assessment and which psychologists may be a good fit
Resources to find neurodiversity-affirming support in the meantime and beyond
Investment.
All of these services are covered by most insurance providers and the Autism Funding Unit of BC:
Autism Inquiry & Assessment Preparation Session - $275 + GST
(Includes specialized intake form, 60-minute virtual parent/caregiver session, recommendations, and resources.)
Additional Services (not required):
Letter for assessor(s), to take to your Autism assessment appointment - $180 + GST
Follow-up session(s) - $180 + GST
As a parent of neurodivergent children, I know first-hand how daunting assessments can feel.
My personal story fuels my passion to validate your struggles, increase your confidence, and allow the assessment process to feel supportive.
