  • I take a neurodiversity-affirming approach, meaning that I focus mainly on collaboration, understanding, empathy, advocacy, education, and accommodation as opposed to behaviour modification. I have confidence working with children and adults who identify with the descriptions of ADHD, anxiety, Autism, PDA, depression, giftedness, highly-sensitive, PTSD, and twice-exceptional, among others. I see each person, situation, and family as unique, and only use diagnostic terms with permission and if they feel validating.

  • I support parents by offering validation without judgment, as well as education/coaching. Trusting you as an expert on your child, we’ll collaborate and include school staff and other members of your child’s therapeutic team as necessary. I’ll advocate for your child in school and other relevant settings, ensuring they get the care and understanding they deserve. Join my parent coaching program here.

  • I support neurodivergent children and adults via client-centred talk-therapy, and we can incorporate art, play, and sandtray work as it feels fitting. Sessions are low-pressure with an emphasis on creating feelings of safety. As comfort levels increase, we can address emotional processing, coping strategies, and increasing self-trust and self-worth among other things. You can bring to sessions what’s most important to you, or I can provide a framework. There are no timelines or expectations - whatever feels right for you.

Sessions are covered by BC’s Autism Funding Unit (AFU)
